My Project

We will be reading Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, a powerful novel that challenges students to think critically about family, identity, race, and belonging.

As we dive into this complex text, I want to make sure students not only have access to engaging discussions but also the comfort and energy that come from having snacks and sensory fidget objects in class.

Providing snacks and fidget toys during our reading sessions helps create a welcoming environment, supports focus, and ensures that hunger isn’t a barrier to participation. A granola bar, crackers, or fruit snack may seem small, but it makes a big difference in keeping students engaged and ready to analyze literature on a deeper level.
