My Students

I teach third grade, and my students are hardworking, eager to learn, and love school. Each one of them has a unique gift that brings so much joy to their peers. My students are made up of mostly low-income, economically disadvantaged children. Almost half of our students speak Spanish, with English as their second language. We have students ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade. We have the largest population of free or reduced-price lunches in our district.

Due to COVID, our normal looks so different!

My kids deserve the best, and I want to make sure I can give them the best education possible! As we find our new normal, our students are thriving daily and conquering everything we ask of them.

My Project

These books will be a fun and exciting way to get my class to love to read. All of these books were hand selected by the kids in my class. They were each given a sticky note to write their favorite book down. I would love to surprise them with all their new favorite books. Our library needs a little excitement added to it. When kids have a personal connection to a book it gets them really excited to read. I hope these new books will create a fun and exciting time for my kids this year.
