My Project
How can we expect our students to read at home without having books that are at their level and many choices to choose from? This project is intended to do both. The variety of genres at each level provides choice for students to pick books that they can read independently. When a child learns to read, each child goes at his or her own pace. Not one student is the same.
The goal of the project is to increase independent reading at home.
Independent reading is important, because it builds on reading stamina, student ownership of their reading process, and develops the habits needed to be a lifelong reader. Please help my students become lifelong readers.
