My Students
COVID -19 has changed how we do education. With my students now learning online, it is critical to make sure they have all the materials they need at home to continue to grow their academic skills while we are apart.
My Project
Having access to diverse & timely reading material like "The 57 Bus" and "Just Mercy" is necessary in these times. Both of these stories highlight how race, culture & society are intertwined. These texts will engage and prepare my students to see and understand some of the larger issues that we are facing as a society locally and beyond. Through their study, Socratic seminars and writing students will gain deep insight into these issues and will be given the opportunity to explore possible solutions as well, with the hopes that they will support future societal change.
