My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create and encourage students to develop growth mindsets and kindness towards others. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read or be read to. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind, as we build our classroom culture of showing respect, making good decisions, and solving problems.
With these new books, my students will be able to have discussions on bullying, including others, standing up for ourselves, treating others with kindness, and building a growth mindset.
Reading aloud is the foundation for literacy development and the single most important activity for reading success. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and encourage them to be better people and students. This project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word and being a better citizen.
