My Students

My 5th grade students are ready to learn as soon as they walk into the classroom in the morning. I have many students who are very tech savvy, and other students who don't have much experience working with technology. My students love to read and are always looking for new and interesting titles to peak their interests. I love introducing them to new genres that they would have never picked up on their own.

My students love to learn to create new projects in many different ways and they love to use their creativity to see their projects come to life.

I have students who love to code, show me new apps and games, and use all kinds of technology to show what they have learned.

My Project

These books will help to entice my reluctant readers to find genres that really interest them. They are on a variety of topics and levels, so I hope that all of my students will find something to enjoy and grow their love of reading.

We use flexible seating during our Independent Reading time, so the stools would give us more options when choosing a place to get comfortable and read.

They will also give our students a place to sit during Guided Reading time. Sometimes a change of scenery and a new type of seat is all it takes to get a student ready to learn!
