This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students this year have been able to read Scholastic Magazine weekly, which they truly enjoyed. Next year I would also like to be able to give my first graders a subscription to Scholastic News and Science Spin. We would read it weekly in class and then they would be able to take it home and share it with their families. My students love getting their own magazine each week and look forward to it. They could start their own collection of reading materials at home. This would be a great addition to our class next year.
