Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Second graders are in that critical stage of learning the foundations of reading. Later in the year, they will begin transitioning to skills that help them read to learn. They are really working hard to apply these skills independently. These books by beloved authors will encourage my students to practice the reading skills I am teaching them in our small group lessons.

My students need reading material with engaging stories and dynamic characters to help them develop a lifelong love of reading.

They will not only use these books as great reading material but also be able to use these books as inspiration to create their own characters and stories.
