Help me give my students differentiated instruction using the many language arts centers and games that are included. Most items are complete game sets of activities that will enhance my ability to meet all my students needs.
Every student is special. They work hard, are dedicated to their learning and set goals for themselves and others. My students are no exception. My students attend a low income Title I school and come from many walks of life. Each student is unique and we embrace that as a community.
The students at our elementary show tremendous spirit, perseverance and commitment to their school, community and their future.
They work hard for themselves and each other. Although most come from difficult family circumstances, they never let that hinder what is expected of them. They work hard and care deeply.
My students do not have the same tools available as others might have, but this does not stop the staff or students. They become more creative, think outside of the box, and are more inventive in their discussions and projects. It is an amazing thing to be a part of.
I am so proud of my Superstars! I would not want to be anywhere else. These kids inspire me, motivate and encourage me and others to never settle for less.
My Project
Teaching First grade, our most important academic goal is to teach our students how to be successful, independent readers. Every child is different, every child learns in different ways and at their own pace. With the items I have on my wish list, I will be able to make sure that all my students have an equal chance and opportunity to learn to their best ability.
Learning to read is an adventure and a joy, that when first discovered, opens up a world unlike anything my students have known.
I want this for all my students. The game and activity sets will help students have fun, while learning. Many first graders struggle to read and then worry about not being able to learn. When they are playing a game, some of that worry and stress disappears, and they are learning without realizing it.
The flashlights will be used for students to read "at night" with the lights off, or go in search of words around the room. The multiple games will hep reinforce skills I am teaching in small groups.
