My Students
My students are very special. Each student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). These plans help students become more successful in the classroom by providing accommodations and modifications as needed.
My students need visuals, tools, and books to help accommodate them in order to be successful in and out of the classroom.
My students are lifelong learners who want to be engaged and work on individual goals to be successful. My students are creative, kind, and willing to work hard. This project will help my students succeed in the classroom with modifications needed.
My Project
Many of my students are below grade level when it comes to reading. The books that are chosen in the project will help support their love of reading while giving them access to interesting topics and authors at their reading level.
Engaging books help my students with special needs increase their reading skills to bridge the gap between them and their peers.
The books chosen are able to be used in small group setting as well as giving them a chance to work independently. At their level books will help engage the students as well as allow them to read on their own.
