Help me give my students leveled bools so they can practice their reading skills at their individual levels and continue advancing and moving forward in their reading abilities.
My students are those that some have given up on. They have labeled themselves troubled, bad, angry, not worthy. But our program is helping them think of themselves in different ways: successful, loved, good-hearted, worth it.
Everyone needs a safe space: a place to fall, a place to cry, a place to scream and a place to grow.
That is my classroom and part of the specialized program that is helping them is academics. I am building an academic program for my kids so that while they are working on their emotional needs with the main program they will also get some help with their academic needs with me.
Help me show these kids they are not forgotten, they are worth it and most importantly, they are loved.
My Project
Thank you for considering donating to our project. Our classroom has students who have struggled with behaviors in the past and because of this, they have missed out on some of their learning. They are learning how to work through past trauma and find better coping skills.
Now they are ready to learn and we need to get the student appropriate books at their independent level and instructional level to read.
This helps promote success for them and puts them on the path to success. The students will practice reading 3 times a week, growing in reading abilities but more importantly growing in belief in themselves, what they are capable of, and belief that their future looks brighter and brighter each day.
