Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will be to continue to diversify our library collection. We are continuing to add Native American authors to ensure inclusive perspectives in our communities thinking and beliefs. This is especially important as the tribal reservation is so much a part of our state and local community.
We also hope to add a number of Award Winning books to continue to provide our students with rich and thoughtful stories from the the current year's Newbery, Caldecott, Belpré, Sibert, Geisel, and Batchelder Award and Honor books.
These books are exemplary works of literature that students will love to read again and again.
