Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will support a group of excited young scholars. In their 6th grade year their ELA teacher would mention how passionate the students are when it comes to reading. As they continue their education at the school , I want to provide books that supports their love for reading. When students see themselves or part of their identity in high engaging books they are more likely to be invested in that book or novel. A huge part of expanding their reading horizon is to also explore diverse genres. With these request in mind, students will be able to engage with novels and non-fiction texts.
