My Project

Students will engage in building and enhancing phonological, phonemic, decoding and encoding skills with multimodal activities and resources. Studies prove that multimodal learning solidifies neural pathways for retaining new learning. We feel that this is the most efficient way to bridge the COVID learning gap. Students will use their hands to manipulate letters, build words with syllable boards, and write with various mediums (paintbrushes, gel boards). Students will trace letters with stones and sand letters to enhance tactile learning so that neural pathways connect and learning is concrete and solidified.
