Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
COVID-19 impacted my students profoundly as they are low income kiddos with not very many resources at home. Student reading abilities took a hard hit during the pandemic and most of them are striving to build their reading skills back up to grade level.
I believe that having a special reading area in class will motivate scholars to read in an area that is welcoming and inviting, with comfortable seating and a cozy rug.
Further more, I have requested some books on topics that my students are interested in reading.
