My Students

My students are so dear to me! I believe in establishing healthy, positive relationships with my students. They tell me about their families, hobbies, and their goals. I try to be a positive influence in their lives, and I am so grateful to be a part of their lives! They are excited to learn and full of energy.

I teach at a Title 1 school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.

One of my biggest goals as a teacher is to make learning fun for my students and memorable. I want them to love school! They each have unique personalities and know how to brighten anyone’s day.

My Project

As a teacher it is my goal to ensure that students have a safe and comfortable place to learn. Bean bag chairs will spruce up our reading corner so they aren’t on the floor during guided reading time! I make sure to give students time to read to themselves each day to instill a love of reading in them. Some children just don’t have the time or resources to read at home! Allowing students to read on their own at school allows them to push themselves and practice reading skills that I teach in my class. I hope these chairs will make them more comfortable in class!
