My Students

I teach in a suburban neighborhood with some fantastic students. They work hard and put in effort to their tasks. These students love to read and work around the room so they can focus better and limit their anxiety to different situations. They work well together and all 29 have some new ideas to bring to our class. They respect each other and are learning how to better our class everyday!

My Project

Flexible seating will help me as a teacher meet all the needs of my students. Some students need a taller working spot and some need a smaller one. Working at a desk is not always conducive to my students with ADHD or other types of situations where they need to move more. This will also address the needs of students with anxiety, this will allow them to find a comfortable working station where they feel safe and comfortable to complete their work.

These supplies will also help bring new books into our classroom, giving more variety to topics and levels of texts in my classroom.

The books can be taken home so students will have the opportunity to read there too.
