Help me give my students a chance to read aloud to a special stuffed friend to gain confidence in literacy.

My Project
We are hoping to use "Reading Companions in the Library" to encourage new readers to find their "reading voice". We believe that fluency and fluidity with language stems from confidence to read what is on the page.
By providing students with reading companions in the library, we are offering them the opportunity to read at their own pace to a special stuffed friend who will listen eagerly and provide comfort as the child learns new vocabulary and gains confidence in their skills.
Our students particularly enjoy stuffed friends that reflect the characters they have met in their books. Mo Willems and other characters are friendly faces that our students love and trust.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
