My Project
Over the past year, I used most of the books I had to send home. The result is a badly disheveled classroom library. I now need to quickly restock my library.
I need more books for a return to in-person learning.
My state provides a reading curriculum that is marginal at best. Although I try and make reading interesting, my fourth-grade students are beginning to realize the difference between real literature and instructional texts. How do I develop their natural interest in reading, and allow them to practice critical thinking skills without providing interesting stories for them to read and discuss? Sounds basic right?
