I teach second grade at a school in the mountains. We have been on distance learning since the beginning of the year, but have been making it work. My kids are amazing! They love to laugh and interact with each other.
This is a group of energetic jokesters that love to smile and are committed to their education everyday.
I am so thankful for the energy and love that this class has to give, it is truly contagious.
My Project
My students have become strong, interested readers during this strange year. We use books to explore experiences, give brain breaks, be silly, learn new things, and connect with others. One author that has really brought us joy is Roald Dahl. He is an inventive and creative storyteller. Please help us continue our reading journey with the second installment of our chocolate factory adventure with Charlie and the Glass Elevator. If this project gets funded, each student will be able to have a copy of this book so we can do a book club together. It will also serve as a tangible memory of how books got us through this year and can help us get through many things to come.
