Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you imagine little kids sitting on a rug reading books together, excited about reading? It would be so nice to provide comfortable rug chairs for them to sit to enjoy the books.
My school is a small, Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program.
Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten students come to school eager to learn each day.
My Project
I think it is important to motivate the kids to read. With these new Backpatter's seats from Lakeshore, my Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten students will be able to sit comfortably while reading books on the rug. My students will be excited to be sitting on their special seats to read!
Our school cannot afford to buy us new furniture such as new tables, chairs and rugs.
This wonderful website is the only hope I have for getting new materials in my classroom. Please consider donating to my project. Thank you so much for your consideration.
