Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten is where learning and fun happens. In kindergarten students are building the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Students learn foundational skills for reading and by the end of the year, they have picked up this skill and are reading. In math, students are setting the foundation to become proficient math students. There is so much learning and growth in kindergarten, it is a pleasure to be a part of this developmental growth.
My school is an ethnically diverse school with students from all over our community.
Many of my students come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.
My Project
Students will be using these centers to help reinforce skills that have learned during our whole group instruction.
Kindergarteners love to practice their reading skills through the use of games.
These ready-made centers will help my students take their skills to the next level by having them practice in a fun and engaging way.
Students will be using these materials in class after our whole group lesson. I will monitor student learning through our weekly check-ins and will be able to see how the learning centers are helping to improve the student learning outcomes.
