My Students

Our students come to school eager to learn with their mind and heart open for everything their teachers have to offer.

School is a very important part of our students' lives.

We teach at a Title I school with over 70% of our students receiving a free or reduced-price lunch and all of our students get free breakfast in the mornings. We have a backpack program that sends home food with kids over the weekend and offers free lunch for students over the summer break.

My Project

My students come to school full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do too! My students need more comfortable seating options in the reading center to enhance student engagement and learning.

This kid sofa will give my students the opportunity to sit comfortably while enjoying a good book.

I want them to feel comfortable and at home in our classroom library. Students should have a cozy area to relax while reading for pure enjoyment. I cannot wait to see all my students faces when we add this piece of furniture to our classroom.
