Farragut is one of five Elementary Schools in our small district. One of the few that are now exploring the new idea of having a Media lab that always our students more of a hands-on approach to many STEM and STEAM stations as well as using of tech in many new aspects besides computers, and iPads.
My students are creative, outgoing, love to work in groups and with partners, and seem to always be full of questions!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! With this new amazing space comes a new adventure of different stations for them to create and use elements of STEM and STEAM within the new Media Space location.
I am especially excited to have the chance to totally redesign my new space for the computer lab and Media lab.
My Project
These books will be used during our center times. The books will help students explore the amazing world of reading and STEAM.
The Lego books will be used during the Lego center where children have the chance to explore and design various projects and items.
The Lego books will help some of the shy kids be able to come with ideas and projects when they might be not sure what to do at the center.
The leveled books will be used during the reading center centers where children have the chance to grab a book and pillow and sit and silently read and work on their reading capacity.
