My Students

Our community is a blend of hardworking, rural farm families and people focused on small town values. Our school and the community around us work diligently to ensure that students are reaching their educational goals and learning in a caring environment. We have over eight hundred students in our K-4 building. Our class sizes range from twenty to twenty-five students.

The learners in my classroom strive to blend joy and creativity into their personal learning.

They achieve this through technology-based learning, team building challenges and knowing that the answers to problems is not as important as the process by which we solve them. We strive to help students determine their learning profile, discover a love for learning and find joy in reading, math and science.

My Project

This project will help provide relaxing seating in our classroom. The three rocking chairs will provide comfortable seating while students are in a book or working on an iPad. These will be utilized during our whole group focus lessons and during independent reading/math times.

When you picture yourself reading for enjoyment, you are most likely sitting comfortably while you enjoy your favorite book.

Students in my classroom will use these rocking chairs to get comfy and dive deep into their favorite novel, comic book or electronic read aloud. These chairs will be a hit with all students in our classroom!
