My Project
The materials I have requested in this project are designed to incorporate the sense of touch into learning the basics of phonics and how to use letter sounds to read. Children learn in many different ways and it is very important to have many different types of materials available for exploration.
Using the sense of touch to build an understanding of phonics can be very important to students who are struggling to learn to read.
It is very important for students in kindergarten to recognize letters and the sounds they make. It is essential in learning to read. If they move on to first grade before mastering these skills they may struggle for years to come. I’d like to use these materials to offer my students another way to learn about letters and sounds.
