This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love it when students want to read a book. But I hate it when we don't have that title in the library. As the school's librarian, I am in a unique position to give the students what they want. And they want books! The books on this list run the gamut from poetry to Percy Jackson (in Spanish!). From true crime to chilling thrillers. And everything in between. All these books were specifically requested by students.
A love of reading can start anywhere.
For us, it starts in the library!
Supporting this project will provide high-interest, student-centered books which will be used for years to come.
