This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the school's librarian, I am in a unique position to give the students what they want. And they want books! The books on this list run the gamut from old friends like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson (in Spanish!) to modern manga and graphic novels to thrillers and even a book on investing. All these books were specifically requested by students.
Give my students the opportunity to read the books they want to read.
A love of reading can start anywhere. Supporting this project will provide high-interest, student-centered books which will be used for years to come.
