Reading Bowl Bound

Help me give my students a set of books to read and prepare for our annual Reading Bowl competition!

My Project

These books were selected for our annual Reading Bowl during which 4th and 5th grade students compete as a team to answer questions about the books. My students love to participate in the Reading Bowl! The competition exposes them to books that they might not have otherwise chosen and encourages their love of reading.

The Reading Bowl is a great opportunity for them to hone their reading fluency, comprehension, and attention to detail, while strengthening friendships and engaging in some friendly competition!

As we prepare for the competition, we read together and independently, discuss the books, and practice recalling key details.

Becoming excellent readers contributes to my students' growth in all subject areas. This project will help them succeed in the Reading Bowl and beyond!
