My Students

All of my students have been identified as having learning disabilities with social/emotional needs that impact their learning and ability to successfully interact with others.

They all have IEP's written to address their learning and behavioral/emotional needs.

My classroom is designed to meet the special needs of all my students and help them achieve maximum growth so they can grow both academically and socially.

After a year of distance learning, we are all excited to be back together in person, but my students will struggle to be successful in the classroom. They have difficulties with math, reading, comprehending and writing. These struggles impact all of their other learning and sometimes their interaction with others.

My Project

I moved to a new school this year and my classroom does not have a classroom library. I would really like to offer supplemental books for the kids to read in class and take home.

As all of my students are identified as special needs, reading can be a struggle for some.

Having books to take home and share with families is a basic.

I have chosen books for a wide variety of titles and subjects to try and appeal to all interest areas.

The school does have a library, but these books, if the student chooses will be theirs to keep.
