My Students
Our Title I school serves many military families. We are a very transient school with families frequently moving in and out of the state and country. Our students often have one parent deployed or away working with the military.
My kindergartners are excited about class and have an innate need to learn all that they can absorb.
They come to school every day with excitement in their eyes, wondering what amazing things they will learn that day. Kindergarten teaches the foundations and gives the students opportunities to grow and become amazing adults. This is a very important year for all students.
My Project
My students love to read. We spend the majority of our school day reading, and they enjoy every minute of it. Because of this, I send home multiple books a week for students to read with their parents. They are practicing reading, while spending quality time with their parents. What more could you ask for?
My students are too smart!
We need harder books! These kindergarteners have outgrown the books I have in class, and are in need of harder, first grade books. When this project is completed, we'll get 47 new books for students to read at home. Thank you for helping us get new, harder books
