My Project
My fourth grade Dual Immersion students are continuing to learn to read and write in English. However, it’s still new to them since they have been learning Hmong the majority of their schooling. They need all the extra help they can get to catch up to their peers in reading English literature.
Decodable text will give students independent reading practice and help them become more confident in their reading abilities.
Students need more reading materials for independent reading and these decodable books will be great to have readily available for them to choose from or practice reading from after the phonic lessons are taught.
