We love to read but need help in getting resources. I currently teach a special needs class of students in 6th to 8th grade. They are functioning well below grade level and require remediation in the area of reading comprehension and writing.
The students love to work on the overhead projector and these kits will allow them to do so. I try to reach them in a wide variety of ways. They are working with the overhead in our math class and they all are very motivated and love to participate. At times they even get up and try to teach the skill to others who are struggling!
We are in need of two overhead reading comprehension kits and two overhead writing kits. Because of the multi functioning levels in our class I would like to have a high and low level of each kit.
If you donate to this project our students will have the ability to soar. They need the help in these two areas and love to work on the overhead. It will truly benefit these students in need.
