This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are navigating their return to school after the interruption of the pandemic. This mix of freshman and sophomores have been hit in transition from middle school to high school and are still working hard to get back to the strides in literacy and connections to literature. They are kind, hard-working, curious and seek to pursue their future goals in a high school that supports a variety of modes of learning, as well as college and career preparation. The tools here allow for a stronger connection to the literature we'll be reading, as well as different modes of expression to help adjust students back to a full-time school model.
