My Students

This is my second year of teaching. I am a special education teacher at the 4th grade level. I am teaching both math and reading. My students this year are wonderful, eager learners. I love getting to go to work everyday.

My Project

This year we are finding out that the Covid pandemic has caused our students to miss many key fundamentals of learning in all areas. The students in my class are struggling with both reading and math. The materials I have requested will reach many of the needs to help with basic reading instruction. The phonics manipulatives; magnetic letters, writing and reading material and word games will help my students love to read and write. The addition of the shelf to hold manipulatives and classroom materials will help the students be able to find what they need quickly. We also use our whiteboards for writing and spelling and math work, adding the need for dry erase markers and the need to clean the whiteboards.

With the addition of the materials I have selected for my classroom the increase in organization and fun learning materials will enhance the learning environment for my students.
