This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students yearn to come to school and do well, however, most of them cannot afford the basic tools they need to succeed. Something as small as a notebook that they need everyday to excel in my class will set them off on the right foot.

My students are the most amazing kids you would want to meet.

They are all NYC bread and have the wit and intelligence that comes with being from this great place. My students are hard working and they have big goals and dreams! They attend a public school in their community that works really hard to make sure each and every one of them succeed.

My Project

By providing my students with these notebooks you are giving them their first step in being successful in my class and that is a notebook. Although it might not seem big, when you come from a family who can't afford a notebook and all your work is scribbled on different sheets it makes it hard for you to be organized, let alone academically successful.

This project is so important because it is providing my students a means to fulfill the classroom expectations, organize their work and have a place to look back at and reflect on their growth.
