My Project
My students work hard and take pride in their education. Although many of them are at-promise students, they come to school excited and ready to learn. I am proud to be their English Language Arts teacher. Unfortunately, these kids have fallen behind in many areas by no fault of their own.
Due to the pandemic, my students missed most of their second-grade school year and require much intervention in the classroom.
Although we tried to salvage their year virtually, we are now facing the academic challenges created by that time out of school. In order to learn and practice the skill that they are lacking, I must provide regular intervention in the classroom.
I provide intervention in a small-group setting during class. These games and activities make learning reading and writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling much more fun and approachable to many students. They will help me provide much-needed intervention while simultaneously allowing me to foster a fun and exciting learning environment in my classroom.
