My Project
My students will be starting kindergarten this year, and for many of them it's their first time in school ever! My students are from a low income neighborhood, and for some it will be their first time holding and reading a physical book. I want to foster their love for stories from the very beginning. They will be able to read wonderful stories from characters who look just like them while gaining some social-emotional development. They will also be able to foster their curiosity into print with the writing journals. I am looking forward to seeing all they convey through literacy.
