Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The resources I am requesting will greatly support my students with special needs, including those with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities, as they develop foundational skills in reading and writing within English Language Arts.
The mobile whiteboard will be especially beneficial during small group instruction, as it can be easily repositioned to serve as a consistent visual reference for decoding and writing tasks.
Additional materials will assist students in developing proper pencil grip, an essential skill for effective writing. Colored glue offers a visual cue to guide students in placing their responses accurately during reading comprehension activities.
The tree tower will provide opportunities to strengthen fine motor skills during independent center time, fostering greater autonomy.
Finally, the crowns serve as meaningful and motivating rewards, celebrating students’ progress and achievements at the end of each instructional unit, thereby reinforcing positive behavior and academic effort.
