it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a first grade public school teacher in a low income/high need community, I try to expose my first grade students to all facets of learning in order to help them meet their potential and enjoy the learning experience.
I have a group of ambitious and eager public school students who love to read and write.
They are beginning to put together sounds, identify word families, distinguish between long and short vowel words, and identify various reading comprehension skills like sequencing during word study, reading workshop, and guided reading. They are also putting together these sounds to form words while writing various pieces in writing, reading workshop, science, social studies, and math.
My Project
I am requesting various reading and word study computer games that my students can use during guided reading center time, word study, and reading workshop. These computer games can help reinforce the skills that my students are learning in class. They can also help my students who learn best through visual and auditory aids. By using these computer games, my students will be able to improve their reading skills, word study skills, and even their writing skills and become better readers and writers.
