Help me give my students something to read and look forward to while staying at home. I want to give each student a copy of book they can enjoy and talk about with me.
My students represent a diverse group of people living in Seattle. My students come from every walk of life and they all have different ways to express themselves.
I want to give my students books to allow them to keep exploring other worlds even while stuck at home.
My Project
My students have been having a hard time connecting because being online. I would love to get books to share with them that we can read together.
Having a shared reading experience can build relationships with students.
This will help students feel like more of a community. They will trust me and their classmates more by having a shared reading experience.
These books not only will help them build trust, but they are excellent examples of scientists of color, something that our curriculum severely lacks. I hope these books will encourage my students to get excited about science no matter their background.
