My Students

This year I want to incorporate a listening center to instill a love for reading for my special needs students.

My students are awesome, hard working, caring individuals with autism.

They attend a public school in which I provide specialized instruction. I am extra observant of my students needs, moods and activity levels to ensure that they are learning and using the strategies that best work for them.

My Project

This listening center would help all of my students listen to age appropriate reading while I am able to work with small groups. I believe a listening center in my classroom would help students learn patterns in language, new vocabulary, as well as practice concentration and listening skills.

My students will be able to listen to age appropriate stories at the listening center with books on Cd's and cassettes.

Your donation will allow them to have a super "listen to reading" literacy center.
