Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are remarkable. Each of my students is incredibly unique and has the ability to reach his or her full potential. My students come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
I love incorporating my Hawaiian heritage into my teaching and love teaching them words from around the world.
I love how their sense of wonder lights up when they hear foreign words and learn their pronunciations and meanings.
Each morning we say a pledge to ourselves and one another which states sentences such as, "I am bright. I am kind. I will make good choices. I will do good things. I will be a great friend." My students are incredible human beings and will make a positive impact on this world.
My Project
The tablets will motivate the students to learn with different methods of obtaining knowledge. The tablets will encourage learning by utilizing technology and apps to help them expand their knowledge and ways of learning.
The Samsung Galaxy tablets will increase the amount of material and resources that my students have access to.
The lower level books will build confidence in my students and make reading fun! A lot of my students do not have access to technology at home and we currently do not have any technology that the students can use personally in our classroom. These tablets will motivate them to increase their reading levels and push towards a higher reading goal!
