Reading and Communication in Our Pre-K ASD Classroom
Help me give my students board books to help increase their vocabulary and communication skills. We also need a pocket chart stand to help implement circle time, where we learn letters, numbers and other pre-academics.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work as a Pre K teacher for children with special needs. I get to work with nine amazing children who are on the Autism Spectrum. They are 3, 4 and 5 years old and have Developmental Delays and Speech and Language Delays.
Every day they come into the classroom and amaze me at what they can learn and achieve.
They have many challenges they face daily, but they are amazing little children who I am blessed to work with every day.
My Project
I work with children that are on the Autism Spectrum and early literacy is very important to their development and success. My students need new books to help increase their vocabulary and communication skills.
I am implementing a new communication curriculum this year and have new books will make learning more enjoyable and fun!
Most of my students struggle with communication and having new books in the classroom will help with their vocabulary.
They need a calendar and alphabet chart to help with learning during circle time. My students learn best when learning is fun and interactive.
I know these resources will make a great impact on my students' learning!
