Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every afternoon, my students gather in a small group, eager but sometimes struggling to reach the next reading level. Many of them are just one step away from moving up—ready to grow from Level 2 to Level 3 on the FAST assessment. But without the right books, tools, and support, that growth can feel out of reach.
Right now, some students lose focus because they don’t have engaging reading materials or ways to practice fluency and comprehension that make sense to them.
They want to improve—they want to succeed—but sometimes the lack of resources makes it harder to stay motivated.
With your help, these students will have access to exciting books, fluency phones, reading journals, and hands-on activities that make learning fun and meaningful. These tools will not only boost their reading skills but also build their confidence and love of learning.
