This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 2nd grade at a wonderful elementary school full of amazing students! My class struggles with the foundations such as reading and writing but I always see them trying their best every single day. I see how much work and effort they put into the classwork, they never give up. I know they are amazing because they are the true definition of perseverance.
My Project
My students struggle with reading and writing because they never developed the foundation they needed when they were young. I see that they hesitate to finish their reading classwork as well as any language assignments.
Literacy games will make learning reading fun and exciting because children like to play games and are motivated by them.
These games will reinforce what I have taught in the classroom. I know the children will want to use them because they are not the traditional way of learning. Games are a great way to learn!
