Schools are allotted a certain amount of funding for supplies, technology, etc. but classroom chairs are usually on the bottom of the list. My classroom has had the same chairs for years, more years than I have been there! The chairs are broken, torn and generally uncomfortable; new chairs will help the children sit comfortably and focus on learning rather than anything else. The children complain that the chairs "poke them" and so they end up not using them. New chairs will make a tremendous difference in my classroom. I know the students will appreciate them.
