My Project
For this project, I am requesting sets of picture books about important women, activists and African Americans and how they helped shape our history, especially voting rights.
One of the units in our reading curriculum is all about the history of voting rights and the people who helped fight for that right as well as other important rights throughout ourhistory.
I would like to provide my students with supplemental reading on these "Fighters for Rights." The books I have selected are biographies about some of the important leaders mentioned in our reading curricula, such as Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez, Susan B. Anthony, and Thurgood Marshall.
Thank you for helping me provide my students with more information about these amazing Americans!
