My Students

My students are innovators! They tackle problems and work together as a team. These 3rd graders enjoy hands on, challenging activities applied through real life experiences. This is my first year teaching and in 3rd grade. With that being said, I am stocking up my classroom and making it as student-centered as can be. First year teachers, like myself, are quickly learning that students can do anything they set their minds to. My 3rd grade students will change the world.

My Project

My students need exposed to fiction and nonfiction texts because they do not get this exposure at home like they do at school. Throughout the year, we will be doing a lot of book studies. We will also be reading books like: Magic Tree House, A-Z Mysteries, Wonder, and more. My students need a little motivation to read. My students need flexible seating to be able to dive into these books: bean bag chairs are a hit.

I'm lacking on books due to my first year teaching and would love for my students to be exposed to various types of books!
