My Students

My students come from various backgrounds to experience a Montessori Education within the public school system. My class includes students in fourth and fifth grades.

Students at my school are eager learners ready to take part in hands on learning experiences.

We use special materials to teach students concepts in geography, botany, zoology, math, language and reading. Students share engaging activities while they learn new concepts. My classroom is made of students within the neighborhood as well as those who come from throughout our district to attend.

My Project

My students love reading! We enjoy reading books together as a classroom. This year our district will hold a battle of the books challenge at the end of the school year. We need several new titles to start preparing for this competition. Being able to have an individual copy for each student will make it easier to follow as we read together.

They are especially excited to read, "Shiloh" by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor and "I Survived the Attack of the Grizzlies" by Lauren Tarshis.

Each of these books will help my students gain new vocabulary and focus on comprehension skills.
